Australia’s top female real estate professionals were crowned recently at the REB Women in Real Estate Awards 2019 in Sydney.

The event was attended by over 500 people who were gathered to recognise the nation’s leading women in the industry: real estate agents, property managers, auctioneers, innovators and market leaders.

Local agency Laguna Real Estate were named finalists in three categories including the Diversity Major Independent of the Year Regional, Principal of the Year Regional and Office Administrator of the Year.

Nicole Smithard, Marketing Manager at Laguna took home the winner’s trophy for Office Administrator of the Year, up against nine other finalists from across the country.

“I am completely humbled by this award and congratulate all the finalists.  There is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes of every agency that often goes unnoticed.  To be recognised by my colleagues and industry professionals across the country is a huge achievement for me.  I’m looking forward to some exciting new projects to come.”

Olivier Miller, Principal of Laguna said “Laguna’s recognition for its excellent contribution to the Noosa Real Estate industry reinforces the strength of the brand in connecting with the community and engaging with its customers.  We are proud that over two-third’s of our team are female, and hold the majority of senior management positions,” she added.

“The awards provide a platform for women in the industry to showcase their talents and be role models for others,” Mr Neary said.

Mr Neary said there had been huge interest in the awards.

“The interest in these inaugural awards has been encouraging, with the avalanche of submissions setting a terrific precedent for the future of these awards across all of the categories.
